  2. Hello everyone! I have a question for you! In the green books for simple connections (first link in this page for free: http://www.steelconstruction.info/The_Green_Books), you have "Recommended detailing practice" for Fin Plates in page 114. I don't understand exactly what they mean, in note (1), by "provide adequate positional restraint". And also, I don't understand what they mean by "give adequate "nominal torsional restraint"". Would you please explain to me what they mean by this? Thanks in advance!

  5. Hello guys! I would like to know if there is any restriction in the punching of a column which as a width of 25 cm and a height of 100 cm (cross sectional dimensions). In the Portuguese code (REBAP) there is a clause that says that when the height is 2 times bigger than the width there will be no punching in the center of the column and I would like to know if there is any rule similar to that in Eurocode.
